Almost there!

Well here we again, the end of yet another term. I know I say it all the time, but where does the time go?!
We have had another fun filled, action packed term full of science!

Congratulations to Ronan and Shayan on winning the Science Superstar Challenge for their year level. I couldn't be any prouder. The final award assembly is this Wednesday afternoon. I can't wait to them up there strutting their stuff. Well done, boys!

We have had a huge focus on reading this term. This focus has proven to be very rewarding in terms of high frequency word recognition, fluency and comprehension. Recently there was a Family Reading Night for Years 2 and 4. A huge thank you to the families who attended. I am sure you found it not only fun, but beneficial. The main message behind this night was the promotion of reading a range of texts and the importance of reading with your child regardless of their age and ability. Promoting reading within the home along with modelling good reading behaviours is imperative to developing life long lovers of reading. The holidays are a perfect time to share some wonderful books. I have a well stocked classroom library that you are more than welcome to borrow from for the holidays and in fact, anytime.

I wish you and your family a wonderful break full of fun. Personally, I am looking forward to rainy days cuddled up with a blanket and a good book.

Thank you all once again for your unwavering support. It is appreciated more than you know.
