End of Term 3

Well, how fast does the time go??! Every time I think I am on top of the blog before I know it, the term is over once again! We certainly are a busy little class.

Here is a catch up from the end of Term 3 when we had incursions, excursions, talent shows,
Learning Journey, and an awesome STEM challenge day to celebrate the last day of term.

Enjoy the photo catch up below.

Excursion to Red Hill Waste Management Facility

We enjoyed an awesome day learning about recycling materials at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility.

Wattle Grove's Got Talent

Congratulations to Alice who was awarded the overall winner for Year One!

Learning Journey

Once again, learning journey was a fun event. I love watching children 'teach' parents. They are hard task masters that is for sure! Below are some photos downloaded from the iPads. It would appear STEM challenges are as equally popular with the adults as they are with the children! A huge thank you for attending and really embracing the journey with your child. They just adore this day.

STEM Challenge Day

To end Term 3 on a high note, the students were presented with a STEM challenge: Make an ice cream sundae without the use of a fridge or freezer. Their ice cream had to contain ice cream and a variety of toppings. The only problem was the ice cream was still in milk, sugar and vanilla essence form! What were they to do? These clever cookies had it figured out in minutes and were on to making their sundaes in no time. We then got to eat them whilst watching a great movie.

Thank you again for your support in what was another fantastic term!
