What a strange term it has been! Despite the abnormal situation we found ourselves in, the children have adapted extremely well. I am very happy with the growth in independence and resilience.
That being said, I would really appreciate your support in continuing to drop off and pick up your children at the allocated gates. It would be a terrible shame to lose all that independence we have developed, especially as this is such an important trait to the success of Mini MAC.
We have currently been working on writing picture books for the Kindy and Pre-primary students. We collected data on our target audience and have been diligently working away on developing our author and illustrative skills. We hope to share the stories with them early next term.
On the Mathematics front, we have been working hard learning all about time and money. Once we have the basics down, we then apply our knowledge to real-world problems and inquiries. We are currently designing 'mini golf holes' and planning a day at 'Leisure Land'. Previously, we solved a crime investigation and caught the thief!
WA Day provided a wonderful opportunity to put our research skills into practice. Our room looks amazing with all the posters on display.
Sending you the very best of wishes for a healthy, safe and relaxing holiday.
Let's keep providing opportunities for independence and resilience.
See you at the gate.
With much gratitude,
