Term 3

Hello everyone,
Welcome to Term 3. Well, more specifically week 2 of Term 3! It feels like yesterday we were starting the year.

Term 3 is a busy term, so please ensure you are checking for notices.

We have already had some exciting things happen this term. New councillors have been appointed following our voting procedure. Congratulations to Nikki and Kate. I am sure you will represent the Mini MAC with confidence and professionalism. I look forward to our first class meeting.

Nikki and Kate with previous councillor, Gorika (Tom was absent)

Thursday, 1st August was World Scout Day. A day that commemorates the start of the Scouting movement with first Scout camp at Brownsea Island in England in 1907.
Ronan, a member of our class is a Cub/Scout. He asked if he could wear his uniform and present some information regarding what Scouts is all about. Ronan, along with his Scout leader mum, or Raksha as she is known in the Scouting world, presented us with some amazing information along with photos and tales of their achievement badges and adventures. We then learnt how to make an old t-shirt into a bag using reef knots to secure the base. Such an amazing afternoon in which every student was engaged and proud of their t-shirt bags. Please keep your good t-shirts safe or you may see them turning up as carry bags. You have been warned!! haha

Some people even chose to get a little fancy with their off cuts :)

Term 3 will also see us perform our assembly item. This will take place in week 5. More information will be coming very soon. Please help your child practise their roles as we are hoping to make our assembly entirely student directed on the day. I try not to be offended when they don't need me :)

Term 3 has also seen a change in our homework schedule, so please head over to that tab for more information.

Thank you for all your support.
I look forward to another wonderful term.

With much gratitude,
