Week One Is Done!

 Hello everyone,

Welcome to 2021

We finally got to week one and boy, was it a great one! 😊

I am always surprised at how much my students change over the summer break. They always seem so grown up and mature upon their return.

Our new Year Ones have settled in so quickly this year. They are a bright, happy, confident little bunch and so willing to give everything a go. Their manners are impeccable and something to be proud of.

One thing I pride my classroom on is the feeling of belonging...community...family. I cannot believe that by the end of week one we are already well on our way to achieving this.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all and working together to ensure your child has the best year yet.

COVID has seen us abiding by many rules and regulations and many of you did not get a chance to take a 'First Day' photo. I hope you loved the magnetic photographs we sent home to celebrate day one. I have placed all the 'First Day' photos below.

We also had a visit from a student who left us last year for (big) MAC. Alice is a keen author and really found a passion for writing books last year. As promised, she wrote the second book in the series she developed and began planning for last year. We loved hearing the second story and look forward to the third.

Thank you for sharing your talents with us Alice.

This week we also had to choose two students to represent Room 32 on the Student Council. Students were given an opportunity to introduce themselves and give a short speech on why they think they were the best choice. It was rewarding to see that ALL the Year Threes wanted to be considered. The majority of the Year Twos also and one Year One (it can seem so overwhelming).

After much discussion and voting we finally have our Student Councillors for Semester One, 2021 (drum roll please................)

Meryl and Kean

Congratulations to them both. I know they will do us proud!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone for Sunday. Remember to hold your loved ones close during these trying times. Special thanks to Kate for my beautiful roses and Preksha for my lovely gift.

I hope you enjoy your little gift from your little loves.

I will leave you with some photos of our classroom. Again, many of you have not seen inside properly due to observing the rules and procedures around COVID 19.

I hope you have enjoyed a glimpse of our room and some of our activities over the last week.

With health and happiness,
